Jeśli gorący ketchup (podobnie jak dżem czy sok) nałożymy do słoiczków,najlepiej wyparzonych,same się zapasteryzuja,zanim ostygną.Mżzna tez słoiczki odwrócić dnem do góry i tak pozostawić do wystygnięcia.
