Ingredients:

1 kg dojrzałych pomidorów
2 czerwone papryki
3 kwaśne jabłka
4 cebule
4 ząbki czosnku
2 łyżki sosu Sambal Oelek
2 łyżki octu balsamicznego
kawałek imbiru (świeżego)
pieprz, sól, cukier
0.5 szklanki czerwonego octu winnego

Prepare instructions:

Pomidory - wycinam szypułki, nakrawam na krzyż z drugiej strony i zalewam wrzątkiem, po kilku minutach wyjmuję, obieram ze skórki, kroję na tzw. ósemki.
Paprykę - usuwam nasiona i kroję na niewielkie kawałki.
Jabłka - obieram, kroję na ósemki, usuwam gniazda nasienne.
Cebulę - obieram i kroję na ósemki.
Wszystko wrzucam do garnka odpowiedniej wielkości, dodaję sos Sambal Oelek, pokrojony drobno czosnek, pokrojony lub starty imbir, sól, pieprz i cukier oraz ocet balsamiczny. Wszystko zalewam octem czerwonym i doprowadzam do wrzenia, a następnie gotuję na niewielkim ogniu przez ok. 40 min. CAŁY CZAS MIESZAJĄC. Chutney powinien mieć wyczuwalne kawałki warzyw (cebuli, jabłek, papryki), gorący wkładam do słoików i dobrze zamykam. Nie trzeba pasteryzować. Przepyszny jako dodatek do wędlin, mięsa oraz do potraw grillowych. SMACZNEGO!!!

Chutney rzeczywiście jest fantastyczny, ja przyżądzam go w bardzo podobny sposób, więc podejrzewam, że i smakiem się aż tak bardzo nie różni.
Najlepsze jest w nim to, że (o ile nie dobiorą się do niego pazerni smakosze) można go bardzo długo przechowywać.
